Hummingbird's GPS Speedometers provide a quick to install, vehicle independent speed readout in vehicles that are not fitted with conventional speedometers. Using data received from the Global Positioning Satellite network, the GPS Speedometer calculates three-dimensional ground speed and displays it on a clear to read, digital display. This high technology solution eradicates the dependency on vehicle specific parameters, thereby reducing installation time and eradicating the need for periodic calibration.

The unit allows customisation of sensor response times to allow maximum flexibility in various applications. Alarms and warnings can be configured from the integrated menu and saved to integrated memory.
Tilt-Switches & Sensors
Hummingbird Electronics manufactures a range of rugged, calibration-free electronic tilt-switches and tilt-sensors. The tilt-switches can be used to trigger an event upon a certain angle being achieved. Pre-set and user-settable versions are available. Tilt-sensors provide continuous tilt information to the user or a subsequent system. Both are available as single axis (horizontal only) or dual axis (pitch and roll) sense versions.
USB Configurable Tilt-Switches
Hummingbird Electronics manufactures a range of user configurable tilt-switches. Applications for tilt switches vary widely, and so do the parameters required for optimum performance. Using a built in USB interface and free software, users can set various parameters associated with with the tilt switches and can view their performance in real-time.
Tamper Detector & Impact Sensors
Hummingbird Electronics manufactures a range of rugged, calibration-free electronic tamper detectors and impact sensors. Tamper detectors are typically used to sound an alarm when a stationary vehicle is moved without the ignition being turned on. Impact sensors measure G-forces exerted on equipment and trigger an alarm if acceptable levels are exceeded.
Road Surface Condition Detector
Hummingbird Electronics manufactures a range of road type or condition detectors. The detectors measure the the vibration experienced by a vehicle as a result of different road surfaces and road conditions and trigger an output when the road surface deteriorates to a preset level. An continuously updated qualatitive road surface condition output is also provided.
GPS Antennas
Hummingbird Electronics imports and markets a wide range of active GPS antenna's. As a volume user of GPS antenna's in our own business, we are able to source antenna's at competitive rates that can be passed to our customers. Physical forms available are magnetic mount, adhesive mount and bulkhead mount. Standard connectors include SMA, SMB, MCX, MMCX, FME, BNC, TNC and open. Other connector options are available on request.
Stemming Timer
Hummingbird's Stemming Timer allows existing stemming systems to be upgraded to provide highly accurate stemming times, which relate to higher accuracy of volume in each hole. A simple to use interface allows the user to select jobs, start and stop stemming and do once-off system calibration.
Accident Detector
Hummingbird's Accident Detector is a impact sensor that has been optimised to detect forces typical of those involved in vehicle accidents. Additional rollover detection has also been incorporated. The units are designed to trigger an alarm when a side or front impact is detected or when the vehicle lands upside down.
Harsh Braking Detector
Hummingbird's Accident and Harsh Braking Detector is an impact sensor that has been optimised to detect forces typical of those involved in harsh driving and vehicle accidents. Additional roll-over detection has also been incorporated.
Speedometer Calibrator
Hummingbird's Speedometer Calibrator corrects signals from both hall-effect and inductive speed sensors, compensating for both manufacturer and user induced errors.
Hall-effect Speed Sensor
Hummingbird Electronics supplies a range of Hall-effect / Geartooth Speed Sensors that are typically used to determine wheel, transmission or engine speed.
